THE LAST NIGHT INN
The actor-audience dynamic, the flow of communal consciousness that occurs in the presence of great actors is the element of the the theatre that separates it from the fixed media of television and film...Montes, a great actor himself has written strangely affectionate portraits of gangsters, loose women and lonely misfits...There is not a wasted word . Uta Hagen, in her wonderful acting book RESPECT FOR ACTING says, if you put a cat on stage it does its best to live there, and the audience can't keep its eyes of it. These cats get an A for raw talent, chutzpa and high spirits.
STRANGE SNOW
...If he painted, Tony Montes would probably be a muralist. With and energetic, hydrokinetic, larger that life acting style probably better suited for the big screen, it's good to see him in the role of "Megs," an extroverted, attention to detail, Vietnam Veteran that seems tailor made for Mr. Montes. Mr Montes' sinewy strength for subtleties keeps an air of suspense in the air.
...Jarrett, Tranquilli and Montes are unquestionably convincing allowing the development of their characters to come alive before your eyes.
PARTNERS
Tony Montes "Al" is a classic small time hood on the rise, complete with dark suit and tie. Montes is the kind of reprobate who gives himself away when he is trying to conceal, and conceals the most when he would have us believe he is telling the truth. It is a bravura performance.
LOU GEHRIG DID NOT DIE OF CANCER
Tony Montes as "Victor" gives a perfectly modulated performance. He presents the macho but lonely man, warts and all, yet renders him extremely sympathetic.
Tony Montes is an arresting interesting actor.
Leigh Kennicott Romero- THE BURBANK TIMES
THE DINKY DAU TRILOGY
Anthony Montes is thrillingly believable as "Eddie."...Bringing his own ferocity and focus to the stage and ultimately earning our sympathy. Dinky Dau is an eye-catching exercise elevated by Beubis, Persico and especially Montes to the level of exciting theatre.

Richard Scaffidi - DRAMA-LOGUE
Montes plays his role with domineering intensity.

Steven Mikulan - LA WEEKLY
Montes delivers a spellbinding, heartfelt performance as "Eddie," the self-exiled maniacal vet who seeks solace in poetry and literature. His every nuance conveys such underlying currents of emotion that one empathizes with him, even as he sadistically terrorizes the hapless protester.
Shawna Saperstein - LOS ANGELES READER
DANNY AND THE DEEP BLUE SEA
Seethingly dangerous Anthony Montes tide of technical, skill, direct vulnerability, and solid truth perseveres.
